Studio Mijo is a ceramic practice rooted in storytelling, intuition and the quiet beauty of imperfection.
I discovered pottery in 2019, and it quickly became both a refuge and a way of making sense of the world. What began as curiosity grew into a daily ritual - one shaped by patience, repetition and listening closely to the material.
My journey with clay has unfolded across places. Having started in Brussels as a form of art threapy, I later deepened my knowledge in Johannesburg, during a move to South Africa.
Since returning to Beirut I have started my own studio, where most of my days are spent shaping, carving and glazing, thus allowing time and process to lead.
My work moves between sculptural and functional forms. I create intricate sgraffito figuers, geometric memory boxes and everyday objects that carry the unordinary.
Studio Mijo is not a place where objects are made- it is a space for pause, curiosity and connection.
